The Rain Came Down

It is POURING rain right now. Thunder, lightning, the works. It's springtime, so why is it strange that it's raining so hard right now? Because it NEVER does this here! Yes, Portland is known for its rain, but usually it's a light drizzle...just enough to annoy you. We're from the Midwest, as you know, where boy does it rain. And thunder, and lightning, with the ever-present chance of tornadoes. So this feels like home. We have the house opened up, just listening to the rain come down. It's soothing, really. And our garden should love it.
